Bethel United Methodist Church is a family of believers dedicated to spreading the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Bethel is part of a two-point charge in the Wilmington District of the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church. Bethel shares the following mission statement with its sister church Lebanon UMC:
“The mission of the Bethel-Lebanon Charge is to live as a family of believers,
set apart from the world, but in the world, to help bring the transforming message of Jesus Christ to the world.”
A church is more than the brick and mortar that make up the building.
A church is more than the beautiful stainglass windows through which the sunlight illuminates the sanctuary. People are what make a church.
The people of Bethel United Methodist Church are a loving and caring family of believers who come to worship, but depart to serve. God’s love shines brightly through the windows of our sanctuary, and it shines from inside the building out into the community.
